Innovative App: Little Lost Sheep – Combines Real-World And Digital Play

Cupertino, California – Apps For All launches their latest app: Little Lost Sheep 1.0. Parents together with their toddler can use their iOS device to play hide-and-seek to find a digital lost sheep. It’s a simple game: the toddler is the shepherd who has to close his or her eyes tight. Then the parent will hide the iPhone somewhere in the room. In a shoe, under a seat, in the dollhouse, anywhere!

Once the device has not moved for three seconds, the screen will go black and the phone ‘transforms’ into a Little Lost Sheep. This virtual sheep will call for help every 5 to 10 seconds. Now the shepherd can start their search; they can hear the sheep, but not see it! Using only their ears the shepherd must then continue to search for the sheep, then once found it’s time for a party because the herd is complete again!

Little Lost Sheep has been specifically developed for toddlers and gives consideration to specific constraints to ensure a healthy and fun experience that also aids their development. Toddlers can’t read, their attention span is very short and, as most parents will agree upon, they should not sit behind a (big or small) screen for too long. Little Lost Sheep’s innovative mix of real-world and digital gameplay takes this into account in a very friendly and engaging app.

Little Lost Sheep is a game for toddlers, with which they cannot and must not sit still. The app can be played where-ever the iPhone goes, so new hiding places are endless. Therefore Little Lost Sheep will become ‘new’ for the little ones over-and-over again. The app can of course also be played by two (or more) kids, whilst toddler and parent can even switch roles – to the child’s delight when the adult cannot find a well hidden sheep.

Until now, Apps For All have focussed on small and boring utilities like address book cleaners and small photo editors. Lead developer Wim de Nood explains the shift towards Little Lost Sheep: “The simple truth is that the idea for the app came to life when my 3-year old daughter asked me, with that angelic smile, to ‘pleeease’ make her an app. How could I refuse?”

Little Lost Sheep, the interactive “hide-and-seek” style game that will bring a smile to both parents and children, is available now in the App Store.

Pixntell Announces New Digital Storytelling App

Austin, Texas – pixntell 1.1.2 is a free app that allows users to create personalized photo sharing slideshows using their own photos, voice and text. pixntell is for anyone looking for a quick platform to make digital storybooks or videos on their iPhone or iPad.

What differentiates pixntell from other photo sharing applications is its user friendly interface. Following prompts, users can create compelling stories in under a minute. You can choose from your photo library or take photos as you go. Once the photos are loaded, you can drag and drop your pictures in the order you want. The audio function allows you to record at your own pace, swiping through your photos as you speak. An in-app upgrade even allows you to add text with custom fonts and backgrounds. Once you are finished, you can immediately share your pixntell to Facebook, youtube, or by email.

pixntell can be used by anyone. Teachers can use pixntell to reinforce reading and language skills by letting students narrate their own digital book. Businesses can use pixntell to create instantaneous “in the field” training videos without paying high production costs. Grandkids can create thank-you e-cards in their own voice for out-of-town grandparents to enjoy again and again. The possibilities are as endless as your imagination! According to co-creator Barry Crutchfield, “Getting our special moments on camera, like when my 6 year old rode his big boy bike for the first time, and capturing the exhilaration in his voice describing the moment – that’s what inspired us to create pixntell. Because 45 seconds is gone in the blink of an eye, but the pixntell memory is forever.”

pixntell is available on iTunes and is translated into 14 different languages, facilitating its use worldwide. The basic version is free, and allows you to load 5 pictures per slideshow. The full version lets you use an unlimited number of photos in a slideshow and is a .99 cent upgrade. pixntell Pro, the text upgrade, is also .99 cents. pixntell has already submitted an upgrade to link your pixntell to Dropbox and to create HD pixntells. Startup Launches Cutting Edge Photo App, Wrap Digital Images Like Cloth!

Kolkata, India – Computer Vision startup, Techbla has released a new photo editing app named Wrapcam 1.01. As the name implies, the app allows the user to wrap or roll digital photos just like one rolls paper or cloth. This allows images to take varied shapes which literally makes the photo look like pieces of cloth in color. In order for this to be done the team at TechBLA has developed a new algorithm which allows the user to access the pixels of the image directly and change them into whatever shape and form possible. In some cases even the structure of the photo can be changed as well, all of this just by the swipe of a finger.

The Developers have provided a rich set of tools such as filters, color, lights and frame effects to enhance the quality of the app. As per Pranav Agarwal (CEO & Founder) who has stated that they have created an app where everything has been redeveloped from grounds up.

In the words of the CEO, “The 21 filters given in the app are unique and many of the effects have been introduced for the first time in the market. The best part is the ability to create customized filter effects by combining one filter on top of an another which literally allows thousands of new customized combinations to be made.”

As per company sources, this very philosophy has been used for development of all the features and particular attention has been given to make the app very easy to use. “You can just use one finger to create your photo art,” commented Madhurima lead designer for the app.

The developers have provided a rich set of text, visual and video instructions which allows one to learn to use the app with ease. The app is available on the iPhone/iPod and is specially been optimized for iPhone 5/iPod 5.

The developers have reported that future upgrades are in testing and will be released shortly and an iPad and Android version are in development as well which will be out in the market very soon.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
* Requires iOS 4.3 or later
* 15.2 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Wrapcam 1.01 is $2.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Photo & Video category.
