Award-Winning – From Cheese: Available For iPhone, iPad and Mac

Benevento, Italy – SpinVector, the Italian developer behind the critically acclaimed, multiple award-winning Bang! the Official Videogame and AXL: Full Boost broadens its presence on the mobile market with From Cheese 1.3.0, a game about the struggle of a chubby mouse to save its starving colony from the cruel intentions of a mad-scientist kid.

The game is now available on the App Store (iPhone and iPad universal) and the Mac App Store. Grand Prize-winning From Cheese is a super-cute game with a unique, reverse logic gameplay: the player draws a scent-trail from a piece of cheese to a chubby mouse, then the mouse will smell the trail and follow it all the way backwards to the cheese.

The game is so easy to learn that it doesn’t even feature any explanatory text: you use your finger (or pointer) to draw the path from the cheese, then press the “play” button and the mouse starts following the trail from its end: so, if there’s a door that is opened by a button, the mouse must walk over the button and then through the door; but this means that the player will have to draw the path through the door first, then over the button, because the mouse will start from the other end of the trail.

This clever, award-winning gameplay gets very complex as new elements are added to the mazes: vacuum cleaners that will suck the trail, angry cats that will jump above walls, barking dogs able to “freeze” the cats and evil rats trying to pursue the same cheese you desperately need.

An exclusive feature for a puzzler is the continuous undo system: when you draw the scent-trail, you use a certain amount of “scent” that is shown in a “scent-bar” – simply drag your finger (or pointer) along the bar to pin-point your undo at any given particle of the trail. Smart and comfy.

With 50+ mind-twisting levels, nicely drawn interludes and a jazzy soundtrack, From Cheese is ready-fun for any player: casual gamers will enjoy the quick play; experienced puzzler will need all their efforts to try and get the three stars and the golden clock in all levels.

“I’m amazed by the results we’ve got in terms of awards, critics and, more importantly, user-reviews for our games.” said Giovanni Caturano, CEO of SpinVector and From Cheese designer “it’s a tremendous thrust to push forward, improve our existing titles and make better and better games to match the players request for innovative and satisfying gaming experiences. Thanks to the hundreds of thousands of gamers who enjoy our games!”

Device Requirements:

MyTunesRSS iOS App v2.1 available

Rastatt, Germany – Codewave Software today is thrilled to announce version 2.1 of the MyTunesRSS iOS app. The first-class placeshifting app allows you to stream your music and movie collection from your personal MyTunesRSS Media Server to an iOS device. The major new feature of the new version is playlist synchronization for offline playback.

The app is a native iPhone and iPad client for the MyTunesRSS media server. You can stream all your music and movies to the device over mobile or WiFi connections without wasting any storage on the iPhone or iPad. But with the new version you can also download individual tracks or synchronize a complete playlist to the device for offline playback. Other tracks of the media library can of course still be streamed to the device in online mode.

MyTunesRSS is a Media Server that makes iTunes libraries or simple watch folders available on a local or corporate network, or even over the internet. You can browse the complete music collection in a web browser and even play music or videos right inside an embedded Flash player.

MyTunesRSS can create RSS feeds and playlists from any album, artist or search result. Depending upon their permissions, users can create regular and smart playlists, add tags to the music collection and use transcoders to convert music stored on the server to other formats on-the-fly. The user authentication and security management features LDAP integration, which protects the media library from unauthorized access. Encrypted URLs make it easy to restrict sharing to specific tracks or playlists and a remote API lets programmers integrate MyTunesRSS into any existing application.

* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 4.3 or later
* 6.0 MB

Pricing and Availability:
MyTunesRSS 2.1 is Free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Music category. A server license for the current version 4.7 is 15 EUR.

Nokia Drive+ now available for ALL Windows Phone 8 users

Now this is a treat, Microsoft and Nokia have opened up the beta of Nokia Drive+ to all Windows Phone 8 users. The outstanding turn-by-turn navigation application is free and available now in the Windows Phone Store.

The app has been in beta for some time while Nokia polishes things up, despite that, it is one of the best turn-by-turn navigation applications available, on any platform. Nokia Drive+ has been part of the “Nokia Experience,” exclusive to the Finnish manufacturer’s hardware.

Nokia has quietly been making huge inroads since its acquisition of NAVTEQ and this is one of the first widespread fruits of that labor.  It was known for some time that Nokia would be providing "mapping abilities" to all Windows Phone 8 handsets as part of the technology sharing agreement between Nokia and Microsoft, but it was not immediately known how that would be implemented.

The application is now available for users in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. It boasts all the expected features you would want in a high-end GPS app, plus the ability to download maps for offline use. This is a great development for all Windows Phone 8 users.  For those of us that have used it, we can say that the rest of the Windows Phone user base is in for a great experience.  You can download Nokia Drive+ here.

Google Maps now available for iPhone with everything and an SDK

We heard it was coming and now it is finally here. Google Maps has officially launched for iOS. The app is available now in the iTunes App Store, and while it is a universal app, it is designed for the iPhone 5, meaning if you decide to install it on an iPad, it will not be optimized. Google Maps for iOS has most of the features you'd expect, and even more interesting it has launched with an SDK.

The app is everything that you’d expect from a Google Maps app. It includes the full range of places, and Street View imagery. It includes voice guided turn-by-turn navigation, vector drawn maps for faster loading and 3D modeling, live traffic info, and public transit directions. It’s a full featured Google Maps app.  The only downsides we can see in initial testing is that it doesn't include walking or biking directions, and isn’t optimized for the iPad yet. There also is no Google Latitude or offline maps, but we really didn't expect that. Overall, the app is slick and smooth. It even has some features we'd like to see come over to Android like having the top search result show at the bottom, and swiping up on it brings up the entire search results list. Google promised an amazing Maps experience, and it came through with this app.

The real game-changer though is the inclusion of an SDK which will allow iOS developers to completely bypass Apple Maps, and hook directly into Google Maps. This is a bold move by Google. It should be interesting to see not only if developers take advantage of it, but if Apple allows it to happen. If you're interested, Google Maps is available for free in the iTunes App Store.

Contre Jour is a beautifully somber puzzler, now available on Android

Contre Jour is one game that instantly catches the eye with its beautiful, gloomy environment, but up until now the puzzle has only been available on iOS. Today, it arrives on Android in all of its glory, and with a price tag of $1.99.

The game itself is very much like Cut the Rope, but the environment is radically different than the cartoony world of Om Nom. Here you have monsters and tentacles in a calm gray-neon world filled with soft piano music.

We’d even say Contre Jour has soothes you. Sadly, and quite inexplicably, Chilingo has set the price at $1.99, which is double the one dollar cost on the App Store, but it is what it is.

Verizon announces the Samsung Galaxy Camera, available Dec. 13th

We suspected Big Red would be picking up this Android powered camera, based solely on documents revealed by the FCC. Hundreds of components make their way to the regulatory body even though there may be no plans to introduce those products in the US.

One month after AT&T announced availability of the Samsung Galaxy Camera, Verizon has is following suit with an LTE enabled version of the device. It features the same specifications, 16MP camera with a 21x optical zoom, powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean rounding up the most notable items. Outside of that, the Google Play store is available and this camera will do just about everything, except make phone calls.

Verizon will have the Samsung Galaxy Camera available to order online December 13th for $549.99. It will be available in white and an exclusive “Cobalt Black” color. Adding the camera to a Share Everything plan is being promoted for only $5 per month. The color choice is nice and ability to share it with your data plan is convenient, but the price is $50 more than what AT&T is charging, and we have seen even lower prices on other sites for limited periods of time.

No doubt it is a nice device.  If you are on the fence, check out our hands-on video and let us know if the Samsung Galaxy Camera is on your list this winter.

ZTE Flash for Sprint is now available, has ICS, 12.6 MP camera and microSD

Well, well, well, what do we have here? A 4.5" HD screen? Not bad... Ice Cream Sandwich? Could be better, but still OK... a 12.6-megapixel camera? Now that's an intriguing feature!

Indeed, the just announced ZTE Flash seems to be a rather well-spec'd device. We mean, not that having so many megapixels could guarantee you a high image quality, but still, it's not everyday that we see a mid-end model sport such a sensor. Not only that, but its 8 GB of internal memory can be radically expanded thanks to the microSD card slot that's also part of the while package. And the processor? No worries there either, as this dual-core CPU should be powerful enough, being clocked at 1.5 GHz. But it doesn't end there! ZTE and Sprint are also throwing 4G LTE into the deal, for the select few who are currently covered by Sprint's immature network.

So, you can now get all of this for... how much did you guess? Five hundred? A thousand?! Even more?!? No, it's just $129.99 with a two-year contract and a $50 mail-in rebate!

Instant Cover – Your Facebook Makeover is Now Available for iPhone

Singapore, Singapore – Lunabee Pte Ltd is delighted to announce today its first foray into the field of social networking with the release of its new app, Instant Cover 1.0 for iOS, that allows users to create unique and stunning cover designs for their Facebook timelines.

Lunabee began as a start-up in 2011 with a focus on developing cutting-edge, top-quality apps inspired by the Apple universe. Their first product, oneSafe, a password manager and data protection app, has been hugely successful. Now, a year after the release of oneSafe, Lunabee is branching out into the fun and creative field of social networking.

“Instant Cover is a very different product from oneSafe,” said Lunabee’s managing director, Olivier Berni. “With oneSafe, we’re focused on watertight data protection. It’s a serious app. Now, with the release of Instant Cover, we’re focused on unleashing the users’ abilities to express themselves in fun, creative and artistic ways. We think this is an app that users will enjoy using as much as we enjoyed creating it!”

Instant Cover is an app that enables Facebook users to put their profile and cover images to maximum effect by creating their own unique look using multiple photos and thousands of effect combinations. Its stylish design also features the work of the hip, up-and-coming French artist, Julien Collignon.

Here’s how it works:
* Choose the preferred design layout
* Insert photos
* Create effects using filters and textures
* Add borders and wallpaper
* Upload the finished product to Facebook
* Wait for your friends to be impressed

The initial download of Instant Cover is free. Some of the design layouts are available for free, others as in-app purchases. One notable feature of the app is that users can try out all the possible designs before they decide to make any in-app purchase. “Users can see exactly what they’re buying before they buy it,” said Donald Sequeira, marketing communications manager at Lunabee. “That way, we really can guarantee 100% customer satisfaction!”

“That’s our philosophy here at Lunabee,” added Instant Cover lead developer, Vince Sabatier. “We focus on creating a true, quality product so the users will be happy. That’s the approach we took with oneSafe and it’s the same approach we’re taking with Instant Cover; quality product and happy customers. That’s the best recipe for success we know!”

Lawyer sues Microsoft for not telling him the Surface had only 16GB of available storage

Don't get so mad, it's not my fault you're incredibly naive kid, I didn't mean that YOU didn't know about computers, I meant PEOPLE IN GENERAL, I know a little bit, though not as much as you obviously with all those IP releasing skills you have.
Even though it's a stretch, I would like the lawyer to win so these companies start advertising real usable storage, since it looks like the use of exclusively internal storage is the new fad for these manufacturers and, I will say it again, I believe advertising 32GB and having HALF of that is unacceptable.
